Filip Miljković

PhD in Computational Life Sciences


Dr. Filip Miljković obtained a master's degree in pharmacy from the Medical Faculty, University of Niš, Serbia in 2014. Following a year spent in professional pharmaceutical practice, he became a licensed pharmacist. In 2016 he joined doctoral studies in Computational Life Sciences at the Department of Life Science Informatics, Bonn-Aachen International Center for Information Technology (b-it), University of Bonn, Germany under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Bajorath. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2019 for exploring and developing chemoinformatics-driven approaches for kinase drug discovery. Since then, he joined AstraZeneca R&D, Sweden as a Senior Scientist, where he currently works in the Department of Early Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism (CVRM). From 2021 he serves as an affiliate scientist at the Department of Life Science Informatics, b-it, University of Bonn, Germany.

His research interests include chemoinformatics and computational methodologies for medicinal chemistry and chemical biology, including machine learning and structure-based approaches.
